Complex zesty orange, hint of lemon, some ginger, sage... it's a toothpaste for foodies.. you love fine dining?? You have to try this toothpaste! The taste is complex but wonderful. Truly Italian. The orange is that blood orange zesty orange not just average orange. I don't agree this is an "Orient Express" inspired toothpaste... Italian for sure.. the rose extract, i could smell but not taste... a good thing IMO. The mint blends flawlessly and really entwines with the nutmeg, rosemary and sage.

Not expensive cologne...im pretty sure there is avon mens cologne from my Uncle Marvs collection of samples...effin aunt Deanne and her Avon Lady. Well at least we know where the avon samples went to die. There is a bad taste in my mouth as we speak, im sad about it. Im going to go brush again with the Marvis jasmine mint, because it's also somewhat "perfum-y" but AMAZING, that one tastes like little fairies made it to give me good dreams.

I am a huge fan of the Marvis liccorce toothpaste. Even though Marvis contains no fluoride, as recommended by US dentists, I love the taste and that it doesn't make subsequent food/drinks tsste funny for hours.
I wanted to switch things up a bit and try something new flavoureise after reading the advertising description which sounded a bit like J Peterman wrote it.
Long story short, it tastes like perfume and citrus. Kind of like the taste you'd get after taking a sip of a vesper martini with a twist of lemon and then kissing the neck of your heavily perfumed partner.
It's not terrible. It's interesting in a way. And it does leave you feeling fresh and doesn't interact with food or drinks hours later. But would I buy it again? No.
My advice is unless you like really unique taste combinations to try, skip this and go with the more mainstream flavors. The rose petal, citrus rind and perfume flavour is strange. Also hate how Marvis took an ounce off their tube size but still charges the same price.

It's just mintier- Still an unbelievable cleaning- Teeth feel like you left the dentist without having to buy a $100 electric toothbrush. I would suggest getting the toothbrush with the paste. This is expensive paste and you tend to overuse because it taste is subtle but so nice. When I get the toothpaste, I get their toothbrush as an add on-it's 6.00. Jasmine is still my favorite. The paste is creamy and you don't foam like a dog when you brush. It's an indulgence
As a limited edition means test market.- I'll go back to the Jasmine next time. Their product claims for flavors being rich is way over dramatizing the item if you've never bought Marvis. I actually use it at night and in the morning my teeth don't feel nasty.

I have received the Royal toothpaste as a present from my son’s trip to Italy and loved it so inordered a new one . The two look identical but the flavor is not. The American version has more sweet and is milder . The Italian version is stronger and has a little more mint taste . Either what I got is old and the taste expired or there is a USA version of it - but surely I feel like I wasted my money

LOL to the previous review that mentioned Uncle Marv's cologne...yes, this is a combo of perfume and mint...just incredible! Not for everyone. I happen to love violet flavored gum, candy and creme de violette liqueur. This is reminiscent of that, very floral, and minty and leaves my mouth feeling so fresh. Also seems to be an appetite suppressant. Not hungry after brushing...just so clean feeling and enjoying the unusual exotic flavors. A sophisticated party in your mouth.

I was afraid of buying this because of the other reviews stating it was ‘perfumey’. It’s fragrant, in a good way. When you start brushing you get a minty/lemony taste. Then when finishing the floral notes, and sweetness of the nutmeg come in. A subtle and pleasant way to start the morning. The name ‘Royal’ suits this flavor of paste really well. A lovely treat in fancy packaging.
