TOKYO UT

A collaboration between UT and four Japanese artists active in Japan and overseas, centered on the keyword “TOKYO.” This collection expresses the individual sensibilities of artists Meguru Yamaguchi, Kosuke Kawamura, FACE Oka, and YOSHIROTTEN.

FACE Oka
Born in Tokyo, FACE Oka provides a wide range of works for apparel, advertisements, magazines, etc. In recent years, he has provided works both in Japan and abroad, and has expanded his range of activities as a global artist.

Kosuke Kawamura
Graphic designer, art director, collage artist. In addition to providing artwork and graphics for apparel brands and advertisements, Kawamura is active in a wide range of activities such as creating fliers for music events, DVD/CD sleeves and book binding.

Meguru Yamaguchi
Born in Tokyo in 1984, moved to the United States in 2007, and currently lives in Brooklyn. His brush strokes exist universally, traversing borders and eras. He uses this method in his creative work to sublimate the expressions of the times. His most well-known work is a piece called "OUT OF BOUNDS" that breaks out of the boundaries of the canvas, and exists solely as brush strokes. This is further deconstructed and rebuilt in his "SPLITTING HORIZON" series.

YOSHIROTTEN
YOSHIROTTEN is a graphic artist and art director, based in Tokyo. He works across a wide spectrum of fields, including graphics, moving images, 3D works, installations and music. In 2018, after holding solo shows in London and Berlin, he mounted a massive exhibition of his works, titled "FUTURE NATURE" in Tokyo.
