Hello, my company uses WordPress for our website and recently we have been having issues uploading files to the website. We use HostGator to store the files on the website, and when we upload a file onto HostGator and connect the hyperlink to the appropriate ‘click here for X resource’ words using Visual Builder, the links are created. But when you then click on the text on the webpage we get an error that says ‘Page not found’ – I initially thought this was an issue with HostGator, but their support team said that wasn’t something they could handle and told me I should reach out to Word Press instead. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!`

Yes, indeed this is not a hosting issue.

Page not found means 404 error, which is caused because when you click on the link it tries to load which I believe is the image from a path where the image/file does not exist.

Differents reasons could cause such issue, could you please share the link to the image and the steps to reproduce?

    But some example:

    – Rewrite rule which may break the hyperlink
    – HTTPS:// or HTTP:// protocol
    – Code issue
    – How the hyperlink is created

I can give you more precise information/help, but I’ll need more details of the issue.
