    Just spent the last hour-ish with a very attentive 8yo talking about the intersection of art and programming, and how it applies to her perler beading. I'm thankful for the super impressive work has done in this area and shared through .

    Scans went okay, but we have to wait a week for results because of the big ice and snow storm heading in today. UGH.

    Do you know why my generation doesn't ban books? Because we went from reading Encyclopedia Brown, jumped immediately to Flowers in the Attic, back to Superfudge, then we read Children of the Corn. Add some Highlights magazine and then we called it a day.

    So many times I see people with talking about how their systems "failed", and what they mean is, "I was doing this thing that helped me do XYZ but eventually I stopped". Systems aren't like engines in your car. They're like brakes, or tires. They need replacing.

    I’ve never recognized this candidate at a Point In Time Count where hundreds of volunteers and social workers gather information in our city that literally illustrates the opposite of this statement or lie depending on how you pronounce it.

    Hefner says homelessness and crime are hand in hand. She says out of 92 homeless people she interviewed over 80 were sent here from the west coast.

    No masks but don't worry, they're still armed so they'll just shoot the virus. Also if "we have extra police and not enough teachers" isn't a clear sign that funds need to be shifted from law enforcement to schools, I don't know what is.

    That's because the website for Governor Stitt's grand idea was just slapped together *today*, less than 2 hours before his press conference. You'd think they'd put more time & thought into something that will impact millions of Oklahomans, but here we are.

    Once again, just like with every other decision has made during the pandemic, today's EO ignores the needs of disabled children & puts them at even higher risk. The care & education Oklahoma's disabled kids need can't just be replaced with random ppl off the street.

    TEACHERS. ARE. TRAINED. PROFESSIONAL. EDUCATORS. and anybody else can be perfectly great at whatever they do, but they’re not teachers. This EO illustrates pretty plainly that ’s administration either doesn’t understand, or doesn’t care, about this fact.

    How can this be? just told everyone that hospitals aren't swamped and "40-45% of patients are there *with* COVID, not *because of* COVID" so everything's fine, nothing to see here, no need to listen to the actual doctors here. 😡

    Four major Oklahoma City hospital systems will hold a virtual news conference on the pandemic situation at 11 a.m. They released this letter last night. "The Oklahoma City Health Care System is at a breaking point."
