I do new drywall installs, finish work, and patch work. I also do a few other things such as tile, acoustical ceilings, metal stud framing, and basic interior wall framing. I have been in the construction business for just over twenty years. I pride myself in the work I do and always try to go above and beyond. Being a retired contractor I write this review with knowledge of the trades. Chad is a hardworking man that is easy to work with, fair with pricing, and turns out quality work. He was the only contractor to come out and look at the job before giving a price. The other two people just threw a number at me over the phone. I feel its important to look at the proposed job thoroughly before pricing it so there are no "surprises" when it comes to actually doing the job. I highly recommend him and he is the first person I will call if I ever need anything done for me in the future!

I hired Chad to do some drywall repair around my new shower and he did a great job. It was seamless and as if it was not even repaired. Scheduling was also easy with him. He showed up two days after I called him and he showed up just when he said he was going too. I would hire him again and definitely recommend him to others.

What is the screening process that Service Professionals go through in order to become members of the HomeAdvisor network?

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.

Criminal Background Check

We use a third-party vendor to conduct criminal background checks on the owner/principal of each business*. This background check includes a search for relevant criminal convictions through a national criminal database and the sex offender database.

Licensing

We verify any applicable state-level licenses, and we require every business to attest that they carry the appropriate local licensing to practice their trade.

Identity Verification (Social Security Number)

HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number of the business owner/principal to confirm their identity. (This applies primarily to small businesses.)

State Business Filings

If a business states that it's registered as a corporation or limited liability company, we confirm that the company is in good standing in the state they're operating in.

*Corporate Accounts

Some service pros are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, you may be matched with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate service professionals. The above screening process is not applicable to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate service professionals.
