Real learning challenges us and makes us feel a little insecure. It's not imposter syndrome, it's realizing your own limitations and where you have room to improve and grow.

Just opened 4 new roles at Maven! 👀 Business roles at early-stage startups are highly coveted and we think these are some strong ones. It's a super fun time over here; we're growing quickly, there's tons of potential and you can make a real impact.

The first few days of a course are important. It’s probably fair to say even before your course starts and definitely by day one students have started to form an impression. It sounds extreme but the student experience starts the moment they hear about you.

Thank you for creating the 🎛 Course Mechanics Canvas. Filled out the 12 Levers with my co-founder for our CBC, Relating Between the Lines, and it's been really helpful to see at a glance where we are, and where we're headed!

You can’t copy and paste from one course community to the other. The tactics that work for writing students might not work for crypto students. You could have ten leadership courses with ten different types of students. This is the hard but exciting part of live cohorts.

If you’re struggling to describe your value, figure out if the problem is the marketing or the underlying idea. If you’re underlying idea isn’t very good, no amount of improving the messaging will help.

The higher price points of cohort-based courses mean categorically different expectations. Books, articles, blog posts, and tweets all focus on the what and why. Great courses have to focus on the how.
