I started out my career working in an Emergency Room as an EMT. After working there for about 4 years, I decided to take a job at Jimmy John’s, working my way up to District Manager. I wanted to give back and be a part of our VA medical community after I was medically retired from active duty service back in 2013. I volunteered at the Jacksonville VA Center serving veterans with similar traumas. Serving veterans there actually served me. It was therapeutic for me to use my experiences to help others. I want to continue helping veterans by becoming a nurse.
