Weeding Services in Ashburn

They always contact you about a week prior to service. I mentioned that some difficult weeds were starting to emerge and the owner promised to increase the weed prevention treatment during the upcoming service. He also offered to come back in a few weeks if the weeds persisted.

I received a call from my local Weed Man, about an estimate. They had come by this spring and knocked on the door and talked about the services. I signed up for weed control, lime and fertilization. So far we have had 3 treatments and one re-application to address some stubborn weeds (and that was FREE) as they have the 48 hr weed guarantee, if you see weeds they come back and address. Look forward to the year, hope the end results equals the great service and responsiveness so far

I saw a couple handfuls of weeds near a bed, but I don't know if the beds were weeded as "prep" and the pulled weeds removed from my property or if the weeds remain under the mulch. I don't know what "prep" meant...before the service I had asked that in an email, but that was never clear. The crew finished quickly. The service was okay---good, but didn't impress me as either great or poor. I think it was probably a good value.

We have used TBI for several years. They provide a good service. There is one area along the property line that has been overrun with weeds. They hand applied weed killer and promised to take care of the area in the spring. In the past when we have called them to take care of a weed problem TBI has promptly applied weed killer.

Our lawn was mostly weeds and they advised us of a plan to get it looking great. They come about once a quarter and apply fertilizer and weed killer.

We liked Amanda's plan for our yard, but we have not been completely happy with the results. We had hoped to get rid of a lot of weeds as well as unwanted plants. We replaced the plants, but we still have a lot of weeds. It seemed like there were weeds in the mulch that was put around the new plants, and the weed killer on the lawn itself did not kill the weeds there (there was rain the next day, and perhaps that washed it off too soon?). I would hired them again, but I would insist on better mulching and a more thorough job with the weed killer in the grass. I do not remember the cost, but it was reasonable.

I would have appreciated a little more attention to detail. Weeds persist around the edges of the property and weed killer cannot work if it isn't applied all over.

No improvement to lawn condition as of yet. Weeds are still thriving. I left a voice message concerning the weeds and await a call back. We'll know soon whether the cost will be worth the results.

The crew of three came right on time and they worked hard and weeded out most of the weed in the back yard by the end of the day and came the next morning to finish one hour they were supposed to perform and did a great job. However, the weeds they took out came back in a month after the rain and became really difficult to kill completely. I assume it was not their fault because the weeds were planted by our former tenant and we do not really know what they were and have no idea how to kill them all.

Julio and crew were punctual, professional, responsive, and they really did a tremendous job. These guys worked FAST. We had a literal forest of overgrown weeds (some taller than six feet) along about 50 feet of driveway. These guys had the whole thing pulled up, sprayed down, and mulched in an hour and twenty minutes with 5 guys. (They also did similar weeding, mulching etc for rest of the the front yard area). Overall a tremendous job. Would definitely use them again. Julio also did a good job communicating and checking with me regarding prices up front. (For example, hauling away our forest of weeds and mulching were upcharges that he very politely and courteously discussed and negotiated with me beforehand). I plan on using ET's services again whenever I'm in the need of landscaping service.

Compared to other companies the price was average mowing $30/visit. $40/fertilization & weed treatments, $100 per weed spraying. The price for aeration and over seeding was lower than other companies $125 (most other companies quoted $250 - $350).

All on time and on schedule; weed and feed treatment w/soil sampling. This is first treatment in a series - so for, so good! Many weeds and mush clover are gone. Seem confident in controlling unwanted grasses over time.

They did such a good job that I added their silver plan (two years of fertilization, weed control, etc). If I see a weed, they come out the next day - no charge. My yard never looked better.

Everything went well. I have no weeds now. I am happy. However; a month later another company advertised weed control treatment for $29.00 for townhomes. Oh well, perhaps Lawn Artists will offer a lower price for townhouses the next time.

I really appreciated how both the intake coordinator on the phone, and the crew who arrived to work on my yard, could identify plants vs. weeds. This has been a problem with other companies we've hired in the past (not found through Angie's List). The crew arrived earlier than I expected, as I'd been told by the coordinator that I was the second residence of the day, rather than the first. No worries, I was happy to show them what I needed and have the work done earlier in the day. Our yard is quite overgrown with weeds, so I had purchased this deal and a second one for weeding for the purposes of getting some of the hardest work done before starting an annual company with whichever company I liked best. When I showed the crew the grass-like weeds that had grown in-between our new air conditioner and heating units, I asked them to be sure to please not use any electric weeding tools there, for fear of damaging the units. They quickly replied that they only hand-weed, so not to worry. This was in stark contrast to the other company whose Angie's List deal I purchased -- practically all they did was weed with electric tools, and didn't want to do the more difficult weeding by hand. The sections that they weeded look much better than before they came, and I would have confidence using this company and crew again. Well worth the cost of the deal. Too bad I couldn't buy more than one!

The provider came out fairly quickly (with in a couple days) of my call. The provider treated some of the areas with weeds, but didn't kill all the weeds. Overall, the lawn looks a lot better than it used to; particularly in July. However, it seems the provider has some difficulty properly treating all the weeks.

I requested an estimate for lawn maintenance program to get my weed-filled lawn back into better shape. I was looking for an annual program including weed control, fertilization and re-seeding in the fall, if necessary. I also was looking for a local company. Weed Man's customer service and response to my request was excellent. I received my quote via e-mail in 1 day and a follow-up mailed estimate with company material a few days later. I also received a follow-up phone call asking if I had any questions 2-3 days after the email quote. At the time I contacted Weed Man, I also contacted another Angie's list vendor for a quote. Weed Man's price was slightly more, but not a significant amount higher. I decided to go with the other company. If I am unhappy with the vendor I selected I will definitely go back to Weed Man.

I have used all of the nearby lawn care services and Scott is the best. I do not have half of the problems with weeds that I had with the other companies. I am no longer getting weeds or having any other lawn problems.

I hired TruGreen for yearlong lawn maintenance (weed treatments, fertilization, seeding, aeration, etc.). While the weed treatments went well, the aeration/overseeding did not. There was a lack of communication and service wasn't performed as promised. I cancelled the contract and eventually received a partial refund for my annual payment.

I used a large lawn maintenance company for several years. I changed because they literally ran while weed whacking around the yard. Twice, not once, but twice a worker weed whacked a flower bed even though edging stones were visible. Just Aeration is a small company, which does its work with care and pride. I have used them for several years now, and I would recommend them. I planted clover in my front yard because the space is shady, and Just Aeration is careful not to apply weed killer there. They show up when needed. Good company. They also blew the fall leaves to the street. Again, good job.
