Home Front RenovationsEverything about the process was easy, helpful and stress free. The owner, Michael, was the first person we met and he walked us through the entire process. Since this was our first project ever, we had lots of questions which he patiently and honestly answered. Jenn helped with the design and again, patience and information was delivered as we decided on the looks for our bathroom remodel. Mark, Sergio and Jay were our team and they were friendly, professional, punctual, easy to talk to and most importantly did amazing work. Home Front RenovationsProject was done to work with our schedule which was very helpful. Home Front team was responsive and took care of any items that came up without delay. They assist to solve any problems and Roman was great. He did almost out entire remodel and had worked on our previous remodel of kitchen and master bath. We highly recommend Roman. He was punctual, hard working, stayed on schedule and cleaned up daily before leaving. Home Front team did a very nice job for us again. New Bath TechnologiesMary was very helpful when it came to redesigning my hallway bathroom. She had a no-pressure approach and was extremely patient with all my indecisiveness. She helped me narrow down my choices until I was comfortable with my decisions. Robert and Michael came out to demo the bathroom. I was impressed how they kept the mess to a minimum and cleaned up each evening before they left. They were super friendly and hard working. A few days later Lenny came out with the most beautiful custom cabinetry. I was so happy with the progress at this point, I called Mary and told her I was ready to re-design the master bath too. Robert did a fantastic job installing the showers and vanity tops. I recognized then that Robert was not a contractor, but rather a craftsman who takes great pride in his work. Robert made sure things were done right. Blue Ribbon Roofing LLCAll went well. Roof was installed in one day. Looks great. All debris was removed from the yard. Also had inside drywall repair and painting work done. The painters did a great job. Blue Ribbon roofing was easy to work with. They were responsive to calls and texts and kept us up to date on progress. New Bath TechnologiesWe needed to update the kitchen. Included were: Kitchen and Breakfast nook flooring Replace tile counter tops with quartz Replace backsplash paint Pull out old original 18" electric oven that didn't work and replace it with an appliance garage Add extra door to deep cabinet so I can get to it. Tim and crew were great. After being burnt by another contractor, we were very careful this time on doing due diligence. We emphasized that while delays can happen, there is no excuse for lack of communication. Tim did a great job of keeping us informed. We did have one week long delay from the painters but that can happen. There were some quality issues with the tile but Tim saw to it that all was resolved and the kitchen looks great.- Kyle P.

Whats Next Remodeling LLCHighly recommend Alan and his team with What's Next Remodeling! Our bathrooms needed a serious facelift and What's Next delivered. We did a smaller bathroom project and were so impressed went forward with a major master bathroom overall. The team was professional, prompt, reasonably priced and did a fantastic job creating a class spa life bathroom for us with all new flooring, lighting, vanities, a soaking tub and new walk in glass enclosed shower. Alan always wanted to know what they could do to make sure we were totally satisfied and quickly addressed any additions, issues or last minute changes we came up with. Whats Next Remodeling LLCLIFE SAVER! Alan is a blessing. We JUST finished a kitchen & laundry remodel with Alan and his team literally 3 weeks prior to the winter storm hitting in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area (you can see my wife, Kasi's review). Unfortunately, we had multiple pipes burst due to them freezing. Our kitchen and upstairs bathroom flooded & I mean FLOODED. My wife and I felt a panic like we've never felt before. Not sure of who to call, my wife called Alan for a suggestion. Alan showed up within the HOUR to help! I can't tell you how thankful we were to have him. He didn't do it to attract more business. He knew that we were struggling and offered to help. He and his team braved the dangerous roads, came over during their off time and fixed the pipes, dried the floors and cabinets and resealed the walls! We are MILES ahead of the many unfortunate people who had to deal with the weather simply because Alan cares about you and your family. If you don't have a family or all you care about is timing of a project? Great. He is prompt and on the spot when it comes to longevity of projects. Overall, they did a satisfactory job. It was very impressive that the project manager came every day to check on the crew and get status. The crew of 3 were very dedicated, hard workers. The biggest complaints that I have 1.) they did a very POOR job on my doors. The doors were painted RED. Any skilled painter should Know that it is recommended when using painting a white surface RED, you should prime with a light pink color so that you don’t have to do multiple coats. They estimated 2 and ended up doing 5 and charged an additional amount for the additional coat. I would highly recommend that 5 Star management re-train the estimators / painter leads on a.) Red Paint application and B.) How to paint and caulk doors (possibly spray paint versus by hand). Caulking work was messy. They used a roller on the flat surface of the doors and made a complete mess of them. One of the doors was brand new and now the surface is all bumpy. And streaks are showing through. The Project Manager attempted to make it right, but the doors were already messed up. Another coat would have made it worst. I would not allow this company to hand paint your doors and require they have them sprayed. Also, during the walk through, I had to point out many needed touch ups. I was very surprised by their reply (NO) when I asked whether the paint lead and/or PM went around to check prior to client having to point out all of the touch ups. I was planning to use 5 Star again to paint the cabinets in my office but I would hesitate at this time based on the paint job they did on the exterior doors.

The short version: a poor paint job and terrible customer service from a company run by a bully. Do not trust this company with your home. Pictures included in my Google review since I can't upload them here. Alvarez Painting (owner Paul, his son, and another employee) spent 2 days in April 2019 painting the ~20 doors in our home, as well as several doorframes and 2 rooms of baseboards. They did a rough job from the start, with thin and missed spots on all of the doors, as well as entire sections of doorframes that were missed completely or missed their second coat of paint. I noticed some of these issues on our final review and spent about an hour with the son getting things touched up; Paul spent that time rushing his son along and yelling at the other employee, as well as hurrying me to stop. I wasn't thrilled about the shade of white that the paint turned out (had been almond, they'd repainted using Extra White from Sherwin Williams but it still looked yellow and Paul said that was the best it would be). I paid them about $1800. After they left, I noticed more thin spots, the missed doorframes, etc and contacted Paul about them fixing these issues. He said they would come out after Memorial Day but completely ignored me after I tried multiple times to get something scheduled. I disputed <$200 of the painting charge with my credit card company to compensate for the work I'd have to put in to fixing the missed & poorly done spots but didn't dispute the whole charge because at the time I felt that would be unfair. In November 2019, I finally found the time to touch up the doors myself. I used the exact same paint type that they had, but wasn't able to use the exact can of paint because they'd left it open in the garage and it dried out. I did the touchups and immediately realized that what I'd just applied was a much whiter color than they'd applied. I had 2 other painting companies out to give me an assessment and estimate to fix - they both said that the paint had been watered down or otherwise improperly applied, and that's why there was a color difference. I contacted Paul again about getting a refund, as I would have to repaint everything they'd done because there were now whiter painted areas on every surface. He called me a liar and lied about how long they spent at my house (it was only 2 days, he said they were there for 5 and came back out). I wound up repainting those doors and trim myself, but did have one of the other painting companies out to repaint our front door the same Extra White color. For the record, their paint job came out as white as expected, with none of the discoloration of Alvarez Painting's handiwork.

George was very good to work with, and his crew at Super Remodeling were very efficient in getting the job done in 2&1/2 days. The house is a 16 year old two story with most of the siding being around the upper floor. Professional work and guaranteed. Used the best quality paint and materials, replaced any trim boards that had rotting, caulked around all windows and other places that needed it. George also offered a better idea than I had about the trim paint and how it would make the house look. I’m glad I agreed, and very happy with the outcome. Our house really does look new!
