Poul’s Landscaping is a professional and reputable landscaping company with high-quality standards. Jeff Anderson has been my main contact whilst working with this company and he has been great. He is personable, responsive, helpful and has a wealth of knowledge and expertise on plant care. Poul’s have recently renovated our front lawn which involved digging up the whole of the lawn and removing a huge amount of builder’s rubble from underneath. The rubble was so close to the surface and with such little soil, it was proving impossible to grow grass. The crew arrived promptly each day and were polite and respectful of our property. They worked extremely hard at removing all of the construction debris which was no easy task. A large quantity of top-quality soil was put down and then the new sod was laid, watered-in and leveled with a lawn roller. Unfortunately, a number of sod strips were damaged throughout this process and needed to be replaced but Poul’s came back to replace these the following week and it is now looking fantastic. Thanks to Poul’s, we eventually have a front lawn to be proud of.

Called and set up an appointment two weeks out — was given a 10am-12pm window. 12:00pm came and went and no one showed up. No phone call, no message, nothing. Called to confirm in case I got my days mixed up but did get confirmation the appointment was supposed to be at that time. Operator told me she'd call Greg and find out what the delay was. Never heard back. 1:30pm and someone showed up when I was unavailable to let them in. Will not be doing work with this business. Understand jobs go long and things come up — always great to get a phone call or text if something is going to change.

1" of gravel removed from under old deck, $1,000!!!! We did it ourselves and gave it to a neighbor. They claim they do landscaping but when asked if would build landscape planter said no. Felt like a bunch of college kids trying to make $$ during time off.

Well, apparently you can't post a photo here, so I'll tell you a nice story: Here's what happened: we planned for the first phase of our project this summer. Oasis, step 1 was rocking. We were so happy with it that we decided to do Oasis, step 2 this summer as well. Spoiler alert: it's absolutely brilliant. We're even happier than we were before. The award for best director, or landscape architect, goes to Tim Benz again, for listening to our North Shore waffling and our thoughts, then rolling out a really cool step 2, which is the first step of the "greens". Patience and fortitude should be Tim's middle names. Roberto, the foreman, and Jonny and Anselmo--remember them--rolled in and worked their butts off to put together some amazing greens around the patio and fireplace. It looks amazing! Do exactly what they tell you to do, and it'll all be great! Next we're on to step three, the decorative stuff. Poor Tim. He has no idea what he's in for, but he will do something amazing as he always does.

Beware of Benito's Landscaping. I contacted them for an estimate and some damage that needed correcting and after not hearing back from the m in almost a month, I contacted them and an unprofessional rep named Julie answered the call. I explained to Julie that when the landscaper came to my home, I wanted them to correct the damage aside from giving me an estimate on the other work I needed. She told me that if I don't like what happened, then I don't need to use them and said they are busy enough and don't need my business and hung up on me. I called several other times and asked that a manager or owner call me back and no call has been returned. i have had a lot of work done on my home and have never seen a business so careless and unprofessional.

R & G Almanza Landscape IncRaul was responsive in providing a quote and was able to do the work on a weekend within a week of when I accepted the quote. He and 2 other workers had the job finished within 3 hours. They cut out and removed the old grass, power tilled the soil, graded it, put down fertilizer, laid the sod and rolled it. The sod seems to be of high quality. The edges where the sod meets the sidewalk is not perfect, but I can take of that. I was concerned that the sod might be too high, but Raul assured me that it will sink down over time. We will see. Overall very professional and other neighbors have either hired him or asked about his services.- Rich L.

Rent A Gardener IncRigo and Orlando were fantastic. They worked hard in blazing sun and temperatures in the 90's. One area was about 3' x 20'. Another was 5' x 20'. I'm not sure of the area of the third area because it is curved. That area was tough because there were very persistent "weed trees" that kept coming up no matter what I did. They dug them out by the roots. Other problems were stones that had "migrated" out from the house and the tree roots from the large tree that was taken down a few years ago. After all the areas were dug out, compost was added and tilled in. They had a little time left but instead of packing up they weeded my courtyard and another garden bed. Then they weeded and edged the garden around the mail box. They were both very easy to work with - communication was easy and they were very responsive to little changes I wanted to make.- Cynthia G.

Terra Garden DesignOverall it was fantastic. I found Amy through Angie's List after getting many quotes. She is very ecologically friendly. She completely landscaped my front and backyards. My lot is a typical 25' X 125' foot lot. There is a small front yard and a small backyard. The front yard at the time was dirt with a few dying plants. The backyard was entirely filled with weeds and nothing else. She was very prompt and worked one day until 9pm. The transformation of my yards is unbelievable. I told her I hate gardening and she said "no problem." Also my brick paver walkway in the back had completely sunk into the ground. Talk about the extra mile. She pulled all the weeds in the back by hand! Because of her focus on eco-friendly gardening and didn't use any chemicals! All soil replacement was organic. I have new very hardy plants and new grass seed that has already started growing. The walkway was completely torn out and re-done. I was told by other contractors that the walkway alone would be $500, just to do that and I definitely got more than my money's worth regarding that portion of the job. I have all new plants that I absolutely love. I don't know and don't like gardening, but love flowers and told her to pick whatever flowers wouldn't die. She redesigned the whole thing. Now my yards are beautiful and green. I'm sure my neighbors are much happier too, since I live in a old 2-flat and my neighbors own mansions with perfect landscaping. I was definitely the white trash lawn of the block. Another contractor was going to charge me $750 JUST to redesign my yard before planting anything. Give me a break, for a 200 Sq Ft front yard and a 250 Sq Ft backyard. She's amazing, use her.- Elizabeth B.
