J Francis Company LLCJ. Francis did a mudroom addition and deck for us, and the quality of the work and materials was great. The crew was professional and polite, and adapted easily and quickly to some unanticipated issues discovered and some requested adjustments from us. They also had strong safety measures in place so that the project could be done amidst the Covid pandemic. The project management team was also very communicative, so we knew what had been completed, when issues arose, and what was planned to be done in the coming week. While the overall project cost ended up higher than expected, due in part to additional work we requested along the way, the work quality and the materials are top of the line so are worth the added cost.- SUSAN H.

He turned our dingy Pittsburgh basement into what's probably the nicest room in the entire house. Not only did he come in with fantastic design ideas, he really has an eye for the aesthetic. He designed and built the most beautiful bathroom with modern shiplap walls. He also recommended the perfect flooring for our uneven basement floors. We honestly could not be happier with the finished basement and will definitely hire Brien and his team again. Ace Handyman Services S Pittsburgh (formerly Handyman Matters)Early in 2020 we decided to get our house ready to put on the market and needed people to do electrical work, fine carpentry, flooring. We looked on Angie’s List and found Ace Handyman of South Hills. They sent a craftsman the next day to look over the work we needed to have done. His professionalism and directness prompted us to ask to have someone assigned to come for several full days. We explained our wish to get the work done promptly, and the very helpful lady who handled scheduling did her best to support us. We had help from several craftsmen with special skills, all of them very attentive to our wishes and very efficient. We especially appreciated the way they explained things to us. They helped put our house in the shape we wanted, and it sold very promptly. In all, this was a happy association, and we would engage Handyman again if we still lived in Pittsburgh.- SANDY N.

Chris Jackson's ContractingOver a year ago, I wanted to install a washer and dryer upstairs in my bathroom. The job required a 220 and 110 electrical line and new plumping. I had 3 contractors come to my house to ***** the job. For various reasons, each contractor said the job couldn't be done and recommended the washer and dryer be placed in the basement. I didn't give up. I searched and searched the internet until Angie's List recommended several names. I went with Handyman Chris Jackson. I sat down with Chris and explained my frustration and intentions. He listened, explained what he could do and gave me a very good price. In addition to major work in the bathroom, he also completed 13 other jobs around the house. The entire job was completed in a week. Everything that I imagined turned out absolutely outstanding. I am truly impressed with Chris' professionalism, knowledge, work ethic, and ability to envision what I wanted without trying to dissuade me. His crew was very polite and skillful. I had some of those fake vinyl shutters on my home that I have always hated since we bought the place, especially when they would fly off of the house in a wind storm. The final straw occurred several months back when one of them flew off and punched a whole in the vinyl siding of my garage. After that it was time for them to go. I called around looking for someone to take on the job of removing the shutters and repairing the damage they had caused, but because it wasn't a full house siding replacement no one wanted to take it. I also submitted this work to Angie's List, but again got replies back that the work was too small for them to take on, except for the response I got from Jacob at New Look. Jacob was not only willing to look but came out within a day or two if my memory serves right. He reviewed the things I was concerned with and pointed out a few things I hadn't even noticed. He gave us a fair bid for the work that needed to be done and was able to get the correct siding for my house fairly quickly. As I write this the work was completed yesterday by Carlos on his crew, who did a great job. You can't even tell I had shutters in those spots except for a negligible color difference due to years of sun exposure on the existing siding. I think by the end of summer I probably won't even be able to notice that. All in all I appreciate them coming out to take on this small time job that finally ended the shutter nightmare I've been having for the past few years. I would definitely hire them again.

First Choice did an excellent job explaining their process and what kind of materials, and why, they were using. The price was fair compared to other quotes I had received and everything was very punctual. Our tan drip edge did take a while to get in due to supply during the quarantine but they did relay the information to me to keep me updated when they could start the roof. Roofers showed up early and immidiately got to work. My roof is for your averate split entry home and they got it done in 1 day looking great! I would suggest at least looking into First Choice for your roofing needs but I'm very satisfied with their work.

Myself and my employees take pride in what we do down to the smallest detail. We offer all aspects of interior and exterior painting; we also specialize in cabinet refinishing and faux finishes.

Neil was very professional and explained the options we had with redoing our cabinetry. He was meticulous with our cabinets and hardware both with removal and installation. They look brand new and match perfectly with the cabinet boxes. Also, in regards to our basement, he brought a paint representative to examine our flooring since it had been sealed before incorrectly by a basement sealing company. He sealed our basement floor and it looks great.
