Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » Events Won’t save

  • Hello,

I am developing a site for a client and using this plugin at [my website]

I’m trying to add a second event for April. When I add the event, the title saves, but nothing else. The only recent change is that WordPress auto updated. Anyone else experience this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I have already tried disabling all plugins except for the Event Calendar.

I have the same problem: after creating the new event it does not appear in the event list and the event page does not exist.
I am trying to deactivate the plugin but it remains active.

Unfortunately, the Events plugin doesn’t work for me either. After adding it does not show in the calendar and the page shows an error that the page does not exist.

    Hi @ewela @josan06 @josan06,

Thanks for reporting that problem. I will take a look into it right now, we normally run into this test constantly on our QA process.

Would all mind sharing some more information about WordPress, PHP version and Plugin version?

It would be super helpful if you could link me to the events that are failing.

    Best Regards,

My problem is that no new events are created. I can edit old events but I cannot create new events.

Have you tried to downgrade to php 7.3? I am waiting for the hosting administrators to change, maybe then it will work.

That seems to be one of the constants between you all. But I dont think that is the reason, as we do our internal testing with that version of PHP as well. I also tested that functionality with PHP 7.4 locally here and couldn’t reproduce it.

I wonder if it might be related to which Editor you all are using, is it block editor or classic editor?

I want to make sure I dial in all variable to be able to pin point the problem and find a solution as soon as possible.

Previously, I had preloaded plug to the editor and classical events did not work, then removed the plug editor and classical events also did not work.
Maybe it has to do with the template?

I’m using the standard editor and this broke when WordPress automatically updated. When you create an event, only the title saves. Nothing else.

    Ewela

    (@ewela)

Exactly, only the title is saved, when I edit the date or other options, it doesn’t save.

That is really weird, would all mind contacting us here:
    https://support.theeventscalendar.com/submit_ticket

    And follow the guide here;

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/sharing-your-system-information/

Mention this thread and ask that you were talking to me so I can specifically look at what might be happening.

I want to get to the bottom of this with more info.

    Hello Gustavo Bordoni,

I’m sorry for the multiple tickets, but I just did what you requested and added the system information. To be clear, this worked correctly until WordPress did a system update. My client likes your product and even purchased the Ticket Manager Plus. They may buy the The Event Calendar in the future.
