Opening homes in times of crisis

We partner with our community to offer housing in emergencies, from natural disasters to COVID-19.

75,000 people have found a place to stay in times of crisis since 2012.

Around the world, Airbnb hosts offer support when it’s needed most. Meet the people who make it possible.

In the wake of a disaster, a comfortable place to stay is critical. Our programs allow people to connect with their community and find shelter in a difficult time.

We give communities a way to come together when disasters strike. Through Airbnb.org programs, people can offer their homes for free to neighbors who need to evacuate.

Refugees and asylum seekers face many challenges when they move to a new country. Having a free, temporary place to stay helps them have peace of mind as they start their new lives.

During the pandemic, healthcare workers needed to stay closer to their work or safely distanced from their own families. Airbnb hosts from around the world offered them a place to stay.

It can take years for a community to fully recover from a major disaster. Airbnb.org helps fund stays for relief workers who are doing critical work to rebuild communities.
