The Democratic Society promotes political studies and discussions through the encouragement of academic research and the development of political insight and debate. This society also hopes to broaden the knowledge of the Democratic Party among the membership.

Benefits include:

Developing leadership skills in a supportive environment, focused on the ideals and values of the Democratic Party. Network and engage with members of the community with an active interest in politics, help campaign, and participate in political discussions through a variety of campus networking events.

The Office of Student and Alumni Affairs is always looking for people to get involved and be campus leaders, including chapter officers, who lead student organizations like this one. Membership is available year-round to students and alumni in good academic standing in all degree fields at the university.
