"I looked on Angie's list for a fence contractor to replace 65' of fence, repair 3
other sections, and replace a 25' picket fence in the front yard. I got a callback
from 3 contractors and scheduled them to come out to make estimates. Of the 3, Coastal Lumber was by far the most responsive. Randy did everything he said he was going to do, when he said he was going to do it, which means everything to me. Of the two others, one did not give me their bid when they said they would; I had to call them back to get it, and the other never contacted me again after stopping by to generate an estimate. The other
two contractors told me it would be 3-4 weeks before they could start the job, whereas Coastal Lumber was able to start the following week. The price was close, but Coastal beat the other bid by a bit, so the decision was easy.
The work was done by Vlad and Martin in 1.5 days, and they did a really solid job. They did extra work for the repair part, replacing boards that weren't even part of what I agreed to pay for and I didn't get charged extra. I'm not an employee or related in any way to Coastal Lumber, just a guy that expected the typical contractor experience and got so much better.
