Comment: Background: We have 2 units that are located on the 2nd floor of building. There is an exterior stairway to the units that has a landing/balcony/walkway where each unit is accessed. Issue: The plywood/decking material on the landing/balcony has weakened and needs to be repaired in at least 2 areas – or replaced. We’d also like to see if adding additional joist perpendicular to the existing joists may strengthen the landing to prevent issues in the future. We are open to other solutions if they are more appropriate. I’ve attached images to this email. What we are looking for now: Estimates on how to best repair the issue and prevent it from reoccurring in the future. About us: We are a small condo association with a total of 5 units.
