"First,
checked the wires on our system- and found out our neighbors fence wires (recently added by DogWatch) interfered with the frequency" of our wires at the boundary between our houses. When DogWatch refused to do Anything (even as
as changing their frequency because it would have meant a house call for them),
's supervisor gave the OK to dig up and re-place our wires closer to our house. This was our best solution, as both our dogs need the fence while I'm at work all day and I don't have time for a long battle with DogWatch.
and I trained our new rescue dog (first visit with flags and a '
'), next visit with flags, "No", and a correction) and she went over every part of the transition- increasing distractions, protecting against a traumatic experience. This dog is a 'special needs' dog, on Prozac for anxiety- and had a good- even pleasant- experience training by the Canine Fence People. My opinion: You get what you pay for...They are a first-rate, responsible business and a humane way of protecting dogs from harm. They stand by their word and stick around if you need help.

"I unexpectedly needed time sensitive service on my
and contacted
. Although this was my problem alone,
" was able to work his schedule to be responsive. While I was lucky that this happened, it reminded me of the professionalism of
and his service that I first realized in 2010 (and that merits a comment in this forum). It is valued and appreciated by my family. Further, this professionalism is backed up by the quality of their product / service. After all we are putting electric shock collars on our beloved pets, so we need to count on the product working properly! And I trust
and his team to do that...and, in that regard, it would be worth a wait in the unlikely event I had to.

Animal Fencing

Part of keeping your pet safe is making sure it doesn't accidentally run out of your yard into the street, or run through the neighbor's garden when they see a new friend. There are several effective types of animal fencing available which can make sure your furry companion doesn't put themselves at risk.

The installation went fine. Ed and his team were punctual and did a very neat job on installing the electric fence. Things really fell apart after that though. Ed's approach is to allow the dog to cross the fence and get shocked right away. We did this twice immediately after the fence was installed. Then, you are supposed to

the flag - supposedly explaining to the dog that passing the flag is the reason they got shocked. The problem is that my dog was across the yard and on the porch with his tail between his legs way before I could

the flag. He didn't get it. I contacted Ed by phone and text several times over the following weeks because my dog Boh was just terrified of the entire yard. He was not able to connect the two shocks on day 1 with the flags. Ed kept telling me to just keep taking Boh outside to show him the yard is safe. I did that over and over and over but it always involved dragging or carrying an 85lb lab - he would not walk into the yard on his own.
It's important - at least in my mind - to understand that Ed's approach is different than the training approach taken by many of the large national companies. Their methodology involves spending much more time teaching the dog that the flags represent a boundary they should not cross. Only after this has been learned, do they allow the dog to experience the consequence of crossing the boundary. When I asked Ed about the difference in training methods he said only that his method was used by other small companies and had proven success. To me, it seems obvious the advantage is to the fence company because they spend much less time training. Anyway, I didn't really get any good advice other than "keep putting him in the yard" and Ed didn't actually seem that interested in helping me get Boh comfortable. It's a year and a half later and he has not been shocked since day 2 but is still afraid of the yard. My attempt to give him more freedom has resulted in him having essentially no freedom. Would Boh have done better with another training method? Who knows. I'd like to think so. What I do know is that on the surface the other methods wherein the dog learns the boundary before being punished make a lot more sense. Had I understood this important difference in methodology ahead of time I certainly would have chosen a different company.

loved them from start to finish. A much better product than Canine Fence and made in the USA. Owner is the nicest guy and very professional. Highly recommend!

This review is based solely on cost. Just to upgrade the system, get two collars and move one side of the fence it was $1,500 and from what I've read that is the cost of a new system. I fell like they take advantage of "existing" systems!

Arrived on 7/3/15 to remove old fence. Cleaned up everything before they left. Returned on 7/6/15 as scheduled and installed most of new fence again, cleaned everything up before they left. Retuned on 7/7/15 to finish the job and were done in a few hours. They were all professional and very friendly. They did an excellent job on the installation and the fence looks even better than expected. Also the cost was lower than the other estimates we received. I would definitely recommend Heritage fencing to anyone.

I have found many good companies through Angie's list and this is another absolutely stellar company. I have an existing invisible pet system that was installed in 2000 around a 2.7 acre yard. My current dog has been particularly bad about digging in the flower beds and front yard. I recently had some landscaping done and did not want her to tear it up. I called
Miami Dog Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
when the landscaping was finished and he came out, took time to listen to all my concerns, and advised me on the best solution to the problem. He quoted me what I felt was a very reasonable price in a large yard and he and a helper were able to install the wiring and connect it to the existing fence that very afternoon. My dog was already familiar with the existing fence and quickly learned her new boundaries. It works perfectly and is exactly what I wanted. Both

and his helper were personable, knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to install or repair invisible fencing.

is absolutely wonderful. She explained everything that was going to happen. She came back and help train us and our dog on how to use the fence and then came back with her dog to test our dog to see if she would be distracted. She is professional and great to work with.

Excellent! From the beginning,
Miami Dog Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
came to our home and
spent time addressing my concerns and outlining the best plan for the
fence. He was always very honest and
professional. The installer worked
tirelessly all day for 7-8 hours, without leaving, to install our fence. He did
accidentally cut into an existing underground electric line and immediately
informed us of the incident and called in more experienced staff to assist in
quickly remediating the situation. My husband and I were hesitant to believe that
this system would contain our dogs, who are outside dogs used to roaming the
fields for years. Unbelievably, the
fence has successfully contained our dogs for almost a year now, including the
overnight hours, even through deer and other animal sightings!
Miami Dog Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
, who
provided the trainings and a lot of support, gave me his cell phone number so
he would be available when I needed him for any questions I had after he
left.
Miami Dog Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
also was only a quick phone
call away. One of them was always
available within hours to come out to assist us. Our system was installed in October, 2014 and
after watching our new mulch be destroyed by the dogs in early summer, I called
Miami Dog Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
back in June 2015, and asked him to keep the dogs off the mulch beds. He ended up re-routing our fence to meet our
requests, and only charged us for his materials. He even changed his installer’s schedule so
he could quickly fit our job in around my schedule! I have nothing but praise for
