Hi dear mentors,

We have great translations that we’d like to integrate on translate.wordpress. Can you please add @wptranslationsorg as CLPTECross-locale Project Translation Editor A Cross-Locale Project Translation Editor is an account owned by a plugin or theme author (or the authoring organization), which uses professional translators to localize their product. The cross-locale project translation editor can import/validate strings on a specific project for more than one locale. This role has the same capabilities as a Project Translation Editor over multiple locales instead of one. Cross-Locale Project Translation Editors need to meet a set of criteria before being appointed by General Translation Editors. for these project:

To make sure we can apply to this access we fulfilled answered all points below:

1. Our translators use/created the community style guides and glossaries. They are all GTEs or PTEs of their respective locales already. More info about our team members (https://wp-translations.pro/team/)
2. Sources of translation are available on TranslationsPress (https://www.translationspress.com/wp-translations/)
3. The review process with GTEs and PTEs is handled in translate.wordpress (see details in 4)
4. In case of need any localesLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ GTEs or PTEs can get in touch directly here on make or on SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/. via @wptranslationsorg
Our contact form page (https://wp-translations.pro/contact/) is also available.
5. General Translation EditorsTranslation Editor Translation editors can approve translations for projects. The GTE (General Translation Editor) and LM (Locale Manager) roles can add new users with the "Project Translation Editor" role that can approve translations for specific projects. There are two different Translation Editor roles: General Translation Editor and Project Translation Editor will be noticed of each localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. GTE request for german core files (5.6. + 5.5 + 5.4) and new default themes

Hello @pixelverbieger, @jensratzel or @pixolin,

this is the 4th time re-suggesting (REPAIRING!) some

#de_DE formal CoreCore Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress. stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. and
#de_DE default Core strings

concerning the “Startseite(n)” issue.

This is how it looked with formal 5.4. (almost down to 4.2)

This is how it looked with default 5.4.

And here are the formal 5.5. ones

And default 5.5 strings

Also – of course – last but not least

Formal 5.6 strings and

Default 5.6 strings

I’d like to add that there were some major updates to most of the default themes today, which now contain new content within patterns too.
Checking this new updates and the already contributed translations I really have to insist on changing (or expanding) the glossary entry for “Homepage” to “Startseite” because some of the default themes (and almost every top 100 themes that is currently over 90%) and their translations might not seemlessly fit into the wording of core again and it would be a mesh up between various words for one and the same thing.

Convince yourself please by installing a fresh WordPress 5.6 with all the default themes and check them with their starter content and new patterns. (I use a pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party like WP Reset before testing every theme, otherwise the starter content is a bit difficult to catch.)
I already found issues in a pattern (Services) in 2019 (#51996) and also the patterns in 2016 look not complete or show only via a dropdown-menu.
Any testing on your side and feedback here (or with a ticket if needed) concerning the theme updates and discussion results concering the glossary entry would be very much appreciated!

Thanks a lot in advance.
