If it has an aux entry on the camera then yes. If it doesn't then no. But this mic isn't all that good. Try to buy another higher quality. I own this microphone just in case you're wondering if I'm a credible source.
I don't own a D90, but I checked the spec's on it and the spec said it does not have a mic input. So based on that info I would say no, the mic can'r work with the D90 since the D90 has no input for it.
Hi, Andrew...yes, you can. I have a D5100 myself, and this mic is really terrific, and plugs right in with the cord attached. It plugs into the mini plug port on the camera. Just make sure to go into the camera settings and select the external mic option after you connect it.
