    Wer mag... Hab' da mal etwas zu „Papier“ gebracht. Tipps und Ideen mögliche Leerlaufzeiten während der sinnstiftend zu nutzen.

    I've given my new (rediscovered) hobby an upgrade. An old desk in an unused corner of my top floor office is now the new home for my sewing corner. And I borrowed an unused overlock from my daughter. 😁 The corner still needs some adjustment, but for the beginning it is enough.

    Combining the inevitable with the beautiful. My daughter had an app. with an orthodontist for her braces in the neighboring town. I'm taking out my convertible so she doesn't have to take the bus. 🌄 Presenting top fashion accessory: self-made face mask.

    "Work" in progress... Since we use fitted sheets, the old sheets have had their day. But the fabric is perfect for masks.

    Since the demand for self-made is exponentially rising, I needed to upgrade my equipment 😅 I called various retailers in the area to see if they had a cutting mat and a fabric roller cutter in stock & found one nearby. The sheets can be cut like butter.

    Welcome to the spontaneous manufacture 😅 Family is equipped. Now friends & Daniel's physiotherapy patients are requesting my self made masks. "Selling" like hotcakes. 😅 Just got an "order" to make a batch for work mates of my daughters friend's mum.

    So eine E-Mail habe ich heute auch erhalten. Kam mir sehr suspekt vor. Direkt als Spam markiert und recherchiert, ob es schon Meldungen diesbezüglich gibt. Siehe da: Die BAA warnt auf Twitter dazu. 🚫 Keine Daten zu eurem Unternehmen oder Mitarbeitern übermitteln!

    I struggled a bit with my retro sewing machine the last two days. It's a Pfaff 1222 & was probably built around 1970. I purchased it 30 years ago as a refurbished one. A clean up & a thread replacement helped to continue my new project. I'm proud of the outcome.

    Making progress. I haven't sewn with a sewing machine for decade🙈 But thanks to my eldest daughter who is better equipped with sewing supplies I could pick up some twill tape & other cotton fabric leftovers. It helps a lot to sew masks with a better quality for simple use.

    Sewing face masks is the trend. At dinner I jokingly said that I could get my sewing machine from the attic to sew masks. My partner, a physiotherapist, begged me to sew some as a substitute for him, as the stock of masks in the practice is running out. I must be crazy 🤔😅

    Wir in der Eifel packen an.😊 In Daun & in Hillesheim gibt es nun Ambulanzen, die in wenigen Tagen aus dem Nichts entstanden sind. Gerolsteiner KH wird Schwerpunkt KH mit 80 Intensivbetten und 11 Beatmungsplätze 👍
