"On October 17, 2019, the California Jazz Conservatory experienced a devastating sewer backup that shut down the schoolâ s entire campus at 2087 Addison Street, in Berkeley. The school was faced with having to undergo a major renovation of a 7,500 square foot facility, housing classrooms, practice rooms, a bookstore, concert space and bookstore.

I called ICO to request a site visit and estimate. From the first day I met ICO owner Ivan Pinedo, I knew the school would be in good hands -- and, as it turned out, it was, hands down!

Ivan and his crew were simply remarkable throughout this very complex project. Here are the many reasons why I highly recommend this wonderful company:

â ¢ Their customer service was top notch from beginning to end. It was all about accommodating the schoolâ s needs, rather than the companyâ s needs;
â ¢ Their flexibility with regard to scheduling the work was a godsend given the many challenges the school faced at one of the most critical times in its 22-year history;

â ¢ Their estimate was also remarkably accurate, resulting in the need for only one change order;

"My husband and I recently purchased a carriage house that was built in 1953 that was in need of a serious remodel. Since we were planning on renting the property after the remodel, cost was a definite concern. I interviewed several design/build contractor firms before starting my project. We ultimately chose Bay Builders because they were sensitive to our budget, professional and very knowledgeable. My first meeting was with Tom and Tal. I was looking for a more modern and open floor plan. They listened to my ideas and offered suggestions of their own. They had great ideas and addressed issues I had not considered. Once I told my husband I wanted to work with Bay Builders Tom set up another meeting with my husband to meet one of the owners, Sean Zaguri to discuss the project in more detail.
They were honest and forthright about the project from the very beginning. They warned us that because the house was old once they started opening up and moving walls they might find additional problems that would need to be addressed that were not outlined in the original scope of the project. With any and all issues that came up they were forthright and honest about the additional needed repairs and cost. Pricing and costs were very transparent throughout the project. We had regular on site meetings to discuss the most cost effective way to address the additional repairs.
Tom Aloni, as my project manager was professional, easy to communicate with and kept me informed of the progress of the project through texts, pictures and phone calls. In addition, Tom is always upbeat, positive and a pleasure to be around and work with. As someone who has remodeled a home, an office and built a home from the ground up I can honestly say I have had a wonderful experience with Bay Builders and their team. My husband and I are thrilled with the finished project and I would highly recommend Bay Builders and would use them again for any future projects.

"I cannot get over the amazing master bathroom remodel done by 6 Remodeling! They really went above and beyond what I would have expected from my bathroom. I did not see the potential in my restroom as 6 Remodeling did, they mentioned how much could be done to the restroom and the price it would cost. The pricing is very affordable and doesn't compare to the quality work 6 Remodeling does it is worth every single dollar. They transformed my old outdated restroom to a all white marble restroom! "Tony was a pleasure to work with. This was our first remodel and Tony was very patient with all my questions and changes along the way.
I appreciated that he was respectful of our budget and timeline. We had received bids from other contractors who wanted to force us to perform work we were not interested in (and was not in our budget). Tony was not pushy.
My only reason for not giving 5 stars on the quality of the work is b/c the tile subcontractor was not as great about cleaning up each day compared to Tony's own team. They did improve after I pointed it out but still not as clean as I would have liked.
Otherwise, I would highly recommend Tony. His prices are reasonable and he is easy to work with. I especially appreciated that he was very responsive whenever I would email or text.
I would call Tony again for any future remodeling work."

"I had a great experience working with Mike, Ken, Keren and the Palm Construction crew on the remodel of my 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in San Francisco. They did major work on my bathroom (completely gutted it) and kitchen (beautiful new cabinets and countertop/backsplash) with updated plumbing and electricity. They also installed recessed light in all the rooms and updated the floors throughout. My apartment feels so much more spacious and light, and I love being home. Every person I interacted with was professional and kind. Mike was extremely patient with me and my countless questions along with mini anxiety attacks as this was my first remodel. Ken was also very communicative and between him and Mike, I felt like I was in the care of friends. The designer they work with, Keren, is also amazing, kind and has fantastic taste.
