Mail.ru Group Names Andrey Dimitrov as VP for Video and Music Services
Mail.ru Group has appointed Andrey Dimitrov to the new position of Vice President for Video Content and Music Services. He will be in charge of shaping the company’s strategy on the video and music markets.
Andrey Dimitrov will be overseeing professionally and semi-professionally generated music and video content available via VK and OK social networks, as well as on the Smotri Mail.ru portal.
As VP, Andrey will oversee:
- music business, as well as creator relations and marketing
- Video content, as well as relations with copyright holders.
Before joining Mail.ru Group, Andrey Dimitrov held top management positions in large media holdings, including UTV Holding CEO and MUZTV CEO.
“We are planning to expand our music and video offering. We will be adding more content to our libraries for our viewers’ and listeners’ convenience, and we will introduce new ways for creators to interact with their audience. Developing content is one of our key tasks, and I am convinced that Andrey Dimitrov’s experience will help us fulfill it,” said Boris Dobrodeev, Mail.ru Group CEO.
