Artistic Collaborations

Mickey Hart, the drummer of the Grateful Dead and life-long rhythm master, is my longest and closest artistic collaborator. For years, we have invented and shared new ways of showing the world the beauty and power of rhythm as a transformative force. From the Glass Brain, to Neurodrummer to Rhythmicity, with presentations at Congress, SXSW, NVIDIA’s GTC and the Museum of Natural History’s Hayden Planetarium we have, and will continue to, explore the exciting intersection between art & science and education & medicine.

Rob Garza, founder and creative force behind Thievery Corporation, and my dear friend, is a constant source of creative inspiration to me. He has played a valuable role in the creation of Neuroscape’s rhythm therapeutic video game – Rhythmicity – and is now journeying with me into the amazing intersection of virtual reality, art, music, rhythm, dance, physical fitness and brain optimization.

Refik Anadol, an internationally-renowned media and data artist from Turkey, collaborates with me and Neuroscape on large-scale art/neuro projects, notably an upcoming piece with the LA Philharmonic. We are in the process of planning more projects together at the dynamic intersection of data and art.

Jodi Lomask, artistic director of the innovative dance company Capacitor, teamed up with me and Neuroscape to present a unique dance performance that she conceived and choreographed – Synaptic Motion – to share the wonder and beautify of the human brain through dance.
