Leo remodeled the basement. I was not sure of many of the details that I wanted to include and he provided suggestions on the lighting, paint color, and finishing for the stairs. I cannot recommend Luis and the entire LLugo, LLC team enough for any home renovationâ large or small. I was referred to Luis by a friend who had an outstanding experience with LLugo for her master suite renovation, and I have subsequently referred Luis to friends and neighbors for their home renovations. Iâ ve heard nightmare stories about general contractors who take your deposit and, once the contract is signed, never show up on site again and are unreachable. For the duration of our five-month project Luis was ALWAYS reachable for questions or concerns. His communication was incredible: day or night, weekends, holidaysâ it didnâ t matter. He wanted us to understand what was going on with the project and make sure we were fully informed and comfortable with the steps his crew was taking. Luis also has an amazing team. Beto was our foreman for the project and he became like family, along with Juan who was on site every day. The whole team is extremely professional, kind and considerate. We have shared walls with our neighbors and LLugoâ s policies go a long way to helping with the inevitable inconvenience of a renovation next door: no smoking, no music, no shouting. Another surprise during the process of working with LLugo is how clean they leave the work site every day. Every single day the construction site is cleaned-thereâ s no trash or debris left sitting around. They also sealed the renovation site from the rest of the house to provide some sense of privacy and to avoid dust from entering the rest of the house.
Our project was extensive- Luis and his team demoed the entire second floor of our home down to the studs, completely re-framed a new footprint, and built out two new bedrooms and two new bathrooms as well as adding new windows. Luis tackled every aspect of our project-soup to nuts. Before we even decided to hire him for our project Luis met with us in person, walked through the space, created a design proposal and then revised the proposal numerous times based on our feedback. We did not use an architect, or a designer, and we didnâ t need one with Luis. He also handled all permitting and dealt with the historic preservation office. Luis also provided us with a detailed estimate that included every imaginable line item plus allowances for our decisions on finishes. He walked us through the estimate patiently explaining every aspect and answering our questions. Our home is 125 years old so there were some real surprises underneath the subfloor and behind the walls that required major structural work. Luis handled these unexpected challenges calmly and professionally. He and his team were able to address every issue and walk us through every step.
I donâ t think you can find anyone in the DMV area or beyond who will devote so much time and attention to every detail of your project and care so deeply about the outcome and his clientsâ satisfaction. I will not hesitate to call him again for future renovations.

Mayflower Construction was first class all the way. Nicole helped me with materials and to get the project underway. Alex supervised the project and was attentive to all construction. Frank and the other workers were amazing in what they knew and could handle anything phase of the project. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to remodel. From start to finish everything was done professionally and with the intent to satisfy our needs. I hired Mike to redo my kitchen and bathroom in a 1940's era duplex. The bathroom was taken down to the studs and all the original plumbing and fixtures replaced. The kitchen was also a complete gut job with 2 walls removed, an exterior door & window moved, and all the original plumbing and HVAC ducting replaced. Mike and his team were easy to work with. They showed up on time, worked very quickly, and were very professional. Any issues I had were promptly addressed and Mike was one of the most affordable quotes we got. I am very happy with the results and will use them again in the future

Great company to work with! Because Ardeku provides architecture and general contracting services, they successfully transformed my 70's style Rambler, into into an open design with three bedroom suites. Vladimir's design concept not only increased the useable square footage, it aesthetically enhanced space functionality. For example, the master bedroom and family room renovations included large picture windows and access to the backyard patio. Not only were the rooms renovated to accommodate their intended purposes, the design was able to leverage the home exterior as an extension to the entertainment space. His professional expertise transitioned my kitchen from a 10'x 10' cramped space into a 20'X15' designer kitchen. The ability of Ardeku to effectively communicate a vision, work with the customer and contractors to make the vision a reality, and attention to detail, turned my potential home sale into a '"forever home." Everyone visiting complements me on the design and states it is the best renovation they have ever seen!

They were a great team to work with and the estimate was fair. I don't know why they stopped responding and left some projects incomplete. For example, I spoke with Bud over an hour about basement pole covers and he sent me a catalog to choose what I wanted. In the end they put up ugly basic store covers and ignored any question I had about the specialty order. The big things, such as electricity and plumbing, seem to be fine (job finished a couple of months ago).

We used Samâ s Home Improvement to create our backsplash. He had a good price, and we were very impressed with his subcontractor, Luis Quispe, who actually did the tile work. He understood our plans, gave some suggestions, and was flexible with changes. The end result is fabulous.

They did superior work, found my problem within 45 minutes and fixed it. But they seemed a bit pricey. They were always on time, but had a practice of calling the night before to say they were coming next morning. Not much advance notice. Even so, I would gladly call on them again--fantastic work, honesty and quality.
