The Foundation "Our Future" was founded in 2007 on the personal initiative of Russian businessman Vagit Alekperov to promote social entrepreneurship in Russia.
The mission of the Foundation "Our Future" is to be a catalyst for positive social change in Russian society, by contributing to the development of social entrepreneurship giving support and financing to companies which are working on solving social problems.
GOALS OF THE FOUNDATION "OUR FUTURE"
- To search for existing social entrepreneurs, as well as new initiatives in the field of social entrepreneurship
- To provide the required support to existing social enterprises and social enterprises that are being established
- To identify areas and forms of support to develop and improve the effectiveness of social enterprises, social entrepreneurs and their social initiatives
- To raise awareness of social entrepreneurship, and generate a positive attitude towards it in society
- To coordinate foreign and Russian partners from the public, private and non-profit sectors, which are developing social entrepreneurship in Russia
- To involve new enterprises and entrepreneurs in social entrepreneurship
What is social entrepreneurship?
Social entrepreneurship involves working to solve or mitigate social problems under the conditions of self-sufficiency, innovation and sustainability.
The central focus of the foundation is the search and selection of social entrepreneurship projects.
The primary method of selection is the Russian project competition «Social Enterpreneur»
"Our Future" promotes social entrepreneurship in the Russian Federation by organizing and participating in more than 250 events, including:
- The annual award A Force For Good for contribution to the development and promotion of social entrepreneurship in Russia
- The international Social Business Day
- Business fairs and exhibitions
- Round table discussions
- Seminars and training courses
