On Monday, at least eight protesters were charged with arson and rioting after a protest broke out over a police-related shooting in Lancaster. Authorities said the man was fired upon by officers on Sunday after he ran “towards the officer, brandishing a knife above his head, in clear view, in a threatening manner.” Lancaster Police released bodycam footage of the shooting and the officer involved has been placed on leave.
