• I don’t understand – why in this plugin (cache system) is functionality to cleanup database? How it is related with cache? If I would to have such functionality I would install another plugin for it. Sorry but “All in one plugin” it’s a very bad idea.

  • I think it’s good idea. But it’s for premium only.

Can you tell me what is the relation between cache plugin and “minify html, minify css, minify js, gzip, cdn etc.”?

Wpfc is a complete solution for optimization.

@emrevona yee please add some futures from top 20 plugins, this will be a lot of optimizations……. Minifi CSS etc it for better page speed. Database cleanup is for what? Just create another plugin for that.

Cache plugins are not for google page speed tool. Cache makes the sites faster.

Database cleanup is for DB optimization. It makes DB faster. Thus it reduces the cpu usage.

Not really – You DB optimalization don’t bring a large increase in DB speed, this will not make site faster if You have a bad DB server. Moreover:

    1. With one click You can delete ALL OPTIONS which is very dangerous!
    2. You can delete trackbacks and pingback – for what?

And as I previous say: is not related with cache. Please create another plugin for DB optimalizations and do not add such things to cache plugin :/

    ok πŸ™‚

I agree. All-In-One solutions are rarely good. They just bloat features, cause problems and complications. I purchased the premium version of FastestCache and it works great, partially because of it’s simplicity and focus on being a cache plugin. If wouldn’t of purchased it, or even tried it if it also contained a DB cleaner/optimizer.

If you want to create a DB plugin as a standalone plugin, then I think you’d have customers interested in buying it… adding those features to FastestCache… Then FastestCache will no longer be a specialized cache plugin.

ow my god @beherit πŸ™‚ now I remember you. you are. Krzysztof Grochocki

Let me explain something about technical subject. DB optimization is so easy thing. Just DELETE and SELECT queries make speed up db so I thought to add this feature. No need to use and db optimization plugin for this easy thing.

So add much more “easy thing” and rename this plugin to “WP Fastest Things” :/ I agree that DB optimization is so easy but is not functionality for cache plugin. I use WP Fastest Cache because this was simple and light, now probably I will change my mind.

Actually many premium customers wanted this feature so I added it. if I get bad feedback about it, I can remove it surely.

@beherit what is your problem? if you think its dangerous or bad idea just don’t use this option
no need to complaining about it

    Thread Starter Beherit

    (@beherit)

@saman27 Tell that to the users, who will be complain that they lost all options because function in that plugin doesn’t have any information message about what will happen after deleting all options πŸ™‚

Options to be able to delete expired transients or orphaned postmeta would make sense.
