Hi,

I’m Shane Parrish.

While I have a deep dislike of bios, it’s only fair that you know something about me. I spent ██ years working for a three-letter-intelligence agency, starting as a ██████ and ending in charge of ████████████████. During my career, I was promoted ██ times, worked as ██████████████████ to the Deputy Minister, ██████████████████, and ██████████████████. Unfortunately, I can’t talk about anything interesting without going to jail.

If you’d like a bit more insight into my background and FS, read the New York Times profile.

You can follow me on Twitter and Instagram.

Nothing happens in isolation, let me introduce you to our small team.

Rhiannon Beaubien

In a slightly less dramatic fashion than Jerry Maguire, I recruited Rhiannon from the same three-letter-intelligence agency where we both █████. A gifted writer and earnest truth-seeker, Rhiannon brings a unique perspective, intellectual curiosity, and the courage to explore the tough questions that Farnam Street is known for.

She contributes to the blog and leads the development of The Great Mental Models book series.

Rhiannon lives in Ottawa with her husband and two boys. She loves writing fiction, a good glass of wine, and (get ready for it) circus aerials on the high trapeze.

Rosie Leizrowice

Rosie started a blog when she was 13 and has been writing non-stop ever since. She has delved into nearly every topic imaginable, including fashion, lifestyle, books, creativity, writing, art, self-improvement and more.  Her writing is featured all over the internet, for which we’re grateful, since that’s how we found her. She’s also the Lebron James of research. Looking for an obscure historical fact or reference to make a point more interesting and impactful? Rosie will find you a dozen by lunch time. She currently lives in London.

Vicky Cosenzo

Born and raised in Ottawa, Vicky studied Business Administration and is passionate about data and research. She’s here to support the team wherever possible. Before business, she dabbled in the culinary world, and loves to cook and visit the best restaurants around the world. She loves living in Centretown with her boyfriend Ayrton.

In her spare time, Vicky loves to read, run, dive into video games and sometimes binge a show (or two) at a time. She has a huge passion for Star Wars (including a few tattoos to show her love) and is very ‘sirius’ about Harry Potter.
