Comment: My thermostat stays on 70° in the winter an 78° in the summer. I freeze in the winter & sweat in the summer. My power bill keeps going up. I am paying a budget bill of $213.00/month and I am the only occupant. 4 people were living here for 12 years & moved out September of 2018. Since then my budget bill increased over a year after they moved out. My HVAC people checked out my system (which was replaced 3 years ago), ductwork & insulation & said everything was good. I'm at my wits end & don't know how or what needs correction, or if it is the power company's issue.

Comment: We are looking to get an energy audit of our home completed. We understand that in 100 degree weather, it's very difficult to keep a house cool. That being said, we are not confident that our old house is as efficient as it could be when it comes to things like insulation and HVAC ducting, etc. We have done some window upgrades, not all, and have had our crawl space encapsulated as part of a foundation repair earlier in the year. We have had our A/C units inspected, all good to go. We have not done anything in our attic. My primary concern is how hot it gets upstairs, particularly in my children's rooms. Any advice on a way forward to improve our efficiency and reduce the run times on my A/C units in the summer and Heaters in the winter would be greatly appreciated.
