Project: Remodel a Bathroom

West Shore Home picks and chooses whom they want to do work for, according to the location of your home or condo. It is no wonder they claim they will do a bathroom remodel within a couple days. I was turned down for consideration because my condo resides on the 2nd floor. It?s disheartening to here such news, as I finally have saved enough to remodel my bathroom, since Hurricane Irma, a little over 3 years ago, living in some pretty horrible bathroom conditions. Shame on you!

The project took two days. The two workers were on time each day, they were polite, laid rugs on the floors to protect them, and cleaned up after working each day. Truly professional and I would use them again and recommend West Shore.

Project: Install or Replace Exterior Doors

Needed a new rear entry system (frame, storm door, and door). Guys came out and upon install discovered what turned out to be a larger problem. Turns out that water in my foundation is what caused my original door and frame to rot out in the first place. Ralph and Tom were up front with me and recommended I not have the door installed until the water in my foundation was taken care of. Despite the headache of having just paid for a door and now learning that I would have to pay for a basement sump pump this was good advice and I appreciated Ralph and Tom's honesty. They could have just put the door on and I would have never know the difference. That right there gets 5-stars from me. Additionally, the instill was terrific, and the guys were very personable the entire time. Excellent work, job well done!!

Installers were meticulously careful in installing the windows. From my experience with them, I am having four more windows installed on the "weather" side of our home and have asked for the same installers. All areas were policed and vacuumed. Great job!!!

Outstanding customer experience. These doors are pricey but they are fabulous doors that are lifetime with a full transferable warranty to the next owner. These are the last doors you will ever buy. Installers are superb and very professional and very particular how they approach the install start to finish. Customer service from start to finish cannot be beat. A one of a kind experience. Could not be happier!!

What is the screening process that Service Professionals go through in order to become members of the HomeAdvisor network?

Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.

Criminal Background Check

We use a third-party vendor to conduct criminal background checks on the owner/principal of each business*. This background check includes a search for relevant criminal convictions through a national criminal database and the sex offender database.

Licensing

We verify any applicable state-level licenses, and we require every business to attest that they carry the appropriate local licensing to practice their trade.

Identity Verification (Social Security Number)

HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number of the business owner/principal to confirm their identity. (This applies primarily to small businesses.)

State Business Filings

If a business states that it's registered as a corporation or limited liability company, we confirm that the company is in good standing in the state they're operating in.

*Corporate Accounts

Some service pros are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, you may be matched with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate service professionals. The above screening process is not applicable to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate service professionals.
