"Best contractor experience I've had in NoVA. Phenomenal contractor and small business owner. VERY responsive, even for emergencies. Great communication. Always on time. Trustworthy and fair pricing. I have hired Paul (owner) for two jobs - shower valve and sump pump backup unit. I will certainly use him again for future plumbing jobs. "

" ItÂ’s a little early to review them. They just finished their job today. In our crawlspace they installed a double sump pump with a marine battery back up. They piped it about 100 feet to the culvert under a road. IÂ’m not sure if everything they installed will work a week down the road. But I can say their work looked impeccable. Good looking connections, straight lines, tidy. They know what theyÂ’re doing. And they were very polite. On time, and available the day after I called them. They are a little pricey. They were only 15% lower than the highest guy in town. But like they say, you get what you pay for."

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does repairing my well pump cost?

The average cost to repair a well pump ranges from $330 to $1,370. Minor fixes can be as little as $100, while a full well pump replacement costs up to $2,400. Most professionals charge by the project and may require a $50 to $100 evaluation fee when you hire them.

Does homeowner's insurance cover my well pump?

Most home insurance policies cover some, but not all well pump repairs. It depends on the reason the equipment went bad. If your insurance policy covers the reason for its breakdown, like a fire or tornado, it also covers repair or replacement.

Beyond natural disasters, standard policies do not cover regular breakdowns. Ask your insurance agent about a supplemental breakdown policy or home warranty options to avoid unexpected costs.

How do you know if your well pump is bad?

A few simple signs can help you see whether you need to call a well pump repair pro:

  • Electric bills are higher than usual.
  • Fluctuating water pressure throughout the house
  • Faucets spit air before water comes out.
  • The water temperature gets unexpectedly hot.
  • Clicking noises from the well pump tank

  • Ask for an evaluation of the problem before you sign the contract.
