Since 1991, when American Military University was founded by a Marine Corps officer, we’ve been on a mission to educate those who serve. Today, with more than 400 veterans on our faculty and staff, we have the experience and knowledge to help you take charge of your education.

With our long history of serving the military, we understand your unique challenges and have dedicated staff to support your learning efforts. In addition, we offer these financial benefits for our military-affiliated students:
- A tuition grant which caps our undergraduate tuition at $250/credit hour (the military TA cap) and graduate tuition at $325/credit hour for U.S. active-duty servicemembers and their spouses/dependents, Guard, Reserve, and veterans.
- Textbooks or ebooks provided at no cost to students earning undergraduate academic credit, with no impact on military TA.
- Technology fees covered by grants for U.S. active-duty military service members, and for Guard and Reserve personnel when using military TA.
- Transfer credit for military education and training courses including CCAF, JST, DANTES, and ACE-evaluated training.
Yellow Ribbon Program
For our veteran students, we participate in the G.I. Bill Yellow Ribbon Program, which means we agree to make additional funds available for your education program without an additional charge to your GI Bill entitlement.

Choose from more than 200 degree and certificate programs. Our flagship degree programs such as Homeland Security, Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Emergency and Disaster Management are tailor-made for military personnel like you.
On-Site Help
We have been educating those who serve™ since 1991 and are a top provider of education to the U.S. military today, currently serving 65,000+ military-affiliated students. Our education coordinators visit military installations throughout the U.S. and stand ready to help you.
