Video is critical to football. It's all about the match. And specifically, it's all about the highlights. People want to catch up on what they haven't seen or see what they've enjoyed over and over again. They want to show their mates in the pub. They want to be able to see it on their mobile. They want to be able to watch it at home or on their desk at work.

We were a bit nervous initially because Ooyala are an American company. What's been very heartening is their commitment to Europe. They have a European office. They have their UK office here, which is obviously convenient for us. And they have a team here. And they spend a lot of time getting European clients, understanding the European market, and we feel they're very committed to it. So they're a global company.
Another key feature for us is live streaming. And we can relax, because Ooyala partner with global CDNs who are able to cope with the 100,000 or 200,000 users we might have turn up for a match all around the same time, and we know the video'll be delivered.
I've got a very stats hungry team. Everybody wants to know who's consuming video, where, for how long, what's hot and what's not. So Backlot gives us that, plus a whole lot of other control over our assets.
The Ooyala platform gives us a possibility of doing different sorts of advertising. We can integrate that with external advertising networks. We can do pre-roll, post-roll, all of that kind of stuff as well, which is obviously important to our sponsors and if we need to monetize the video in certain ways.
