Comment: I want to enclose the Garage door area was wondering if It is better to have poured concrete Or Cinder block? Can have the old garage door taken out by myself and you just have to set up the posts to pour to inclosure the basic garage door . maybe put in 2-3 ready made concrete 3'x3' (Glass block Windows on top) I can send mesurements but do now have them Now Just a basic of what it would cost for a 8-9 foot enclosure 9 feet long (There wrong not sure) to a cinder block enclosure. about .Would it be cheaper going poured concrete to cinder block.

Comment: I have a sloping down driveway that leads to a garage which is almost 6 feet below street level. There are 2 walls, one on each side of the driveway. The wall that is in contact with the grassy area is now leaning toward the driveway and has many crack lines due to the fact that, 19 years ago, the builder did not create "weep holes" to allow rain water to escape from the grassy area. The water accumulated under the grassy area freezes and expands during the harsh winters that we have had in recent years, "pushing" the wall toward the driveway and creating cracks along it. My plan is to demolish the old wall, build a new one with some weep holes--and maybe other preventive actions-- so that rain water accumulated under the grassy area can escape, preventing future damages during the winter months.

Comment: I am looking for a contractor to: 1) remove the chain link fence that I have on 2 sidesof my backyard (left side between my house and neighbor to the left, and back side) 2) replace the left side with a cinderblock wall 3) replace the back side with composite or wood fencing (necessary b/c the concrete slab back yard has no yard drain and instead is sloped to drain to the back alley, so the back wall has to be permeable to a degree)
