Comment: Noticed an odor outside last fall. Immediately had septic tank pumped. Waste seemed to be draining normally from house. Septic company came back a week later to check that level was appropriate to indicate drainage to leach field. It was. Odor continued on and off especially in the morning on cold days. While we had snow cover, no odor. Warm weather & melting has brought odor back. There is one area over the end of the leach field where it attaches to the tank that has foul smelling water today--the first day of significant melting when everything is saturated. We think we have a problem with the pipe under the driveway.
