Current insulation is 3-4 inches average of blown fiberglass at visible floors/ceilings of accessible attic areas. There is no insulation in the crawl space (under flooring). Comment: I live in a duplex with a shared foundation wall that separates my and my neighbor's garages on the ground level. Above that is a shared wall. The building has a vaulted ceiling with a few inches of space between the beams and roof. I'd like to EXTENSIVELY sound-proof the entire shared wall from the shared foundation through the vaulted ceiling all the way to the roof. In other words, the next best thing to dividing the units completely and building a brick wall between them.
