Comment: We have a set of exterior french doors that need to be repaired -- or, more likely, replaced. The bottom exterior of at least one of the doors is soft and mushy, rotting (I think) from water splashing against it. We have another set of identical french doors leading to the same patio. I think they are in fairly good shape. There is also a very large, fixed window above the deteriorating set of french doors. In a hard, blowing rain, we've recently noticed some leakage around it on the inside. So we need that examined and fixed as well. We are having a contractor address at least part of the water problem in the gutter above this large window and the french doors -- perhaps by installing a gutter splash guard.
