Comment: I am a real estate agent, working with some sellers on preparing their home for the market. Sellers have already moved out, and upon move-out, when the large carpet in the dining room was removed, there was left a very noticeable color discoloration between the previously covered, and non-covered areas. It is a solid wood floor (from what I understand). I am wanting to get a few estimates on what it would cost to refinish this floor (and also, to replace). Seller's may perhaps be willing to refinish prior to the home being listed, but no guarantees. I need to know what I am working with. This will definitely be an issue with any potential buyers. Comment: Tenant needs to be evicted before work can begin. Then the house will be empty and we can determine if any areas do not need painting. Sheetrock in laundry room has been damaged by dogs. Block paneling in dinette and living room needs repainting. Kitchen and part of living room ceiling needs repainting plus two ceilings in another house. Must do good work and be reasonable. Last painter was paid $3000, completed nothing, and went to the Bahamas. Exterior of house may need repainting also.
