Dr S.S.Rathore is working as Professor and Dean at College of Technology and Engineering, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur. Presently, he has also responsibility of Chairman, State Level Environment Expert Appraisal Committee of Rajasthan. Dr. Rathore has worked as Head of Department and established a new PG level department. Published more than 150 research and technical papers in international and national journals and conferences, written 3 books including a book of “Dimensional Technology” and guided 4 Ph.D. He has also completed five research projects with the support of Italian government and Ministry of Mines, GOI and also completed 25 consultancy research projects to solve the problems of mining industry. Dr. Rathore has also presented research papers abroad at Istanbul and Diyarbakir (Turkey), Switzerland, Beijing (China), Hong-Kong, Italy, Vienna (Austria); Perth (Australia) and Almaty (Kazakhstan). He is Fellow member of Institution of Engineers (IEI), Mining Engineers’ Association of India (MEAI) and Mining Geology and Metallurgical Institute of India (MGMI) and member of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE) and Indian Mining & Engineering Journal and also of International Society of Explosive Engineers. Worked as Chairman IEI Udaipur Local Centre 2009 – 11 and organized two international conferences, three national conventions and 14 All India seminars and national workshops with the support of industry and educational institutes. Dr. Rathore is recipient of national awards such as National Mineral Award-2008 in the field of sustainable mineral development, Mining Engineer of the Year 2008 and Baldota Gold Medal of MEAI, M.L. Rungta Award for the Year 2007-2008 in the field of Conservation of Minerals by MGMI, Sitaram Rungta Memorial Award-2007 for the best paper in Seminars and conferences by MEAI, Honored by Institution of Engineers (India), Mining Division Board, IE(I) at 20th national Convention of Mining Engineers’ in 2009, Appreciation certificate on 15th August 2010 by MPUAT, Udaipur and Bala Tandon Award 2009-10 for outstanding contribution in upgrading the quality of life in mining by MGMI. Dr. Rathore has also received a “ National Excellence Award-2015 in the category of Best Personality of the year (Mining) 2015 by Computer Society of India. He has also contributed in development of “Test House” of international repute at Centre for Development of Stone (CDOS), Jaipur. Dr. Rathore is constantly working for the benefit and improvement of technology for mining industry
