Basic Science

The Department of Basic-sciences is one of the supporting departments of the College of Technology and Engineering (CTAE), Udaipur. The Department offers various courses in areas of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English at undergraduate level to the Engineering students of the university. This department also offers various courses in Mathematics at Post Graduate and Ph. D. level to the Engineering students. The Department consists of well qualified and experienced faculties, which are supported by qualified technical staff. 

The department is running successfully in the first year Instructional Block. This Block is a niche area of the college & it is its own identity in the country as no other college has separate block for imparting first year education. It is distinct by its rotund structure, sound aeration, luminosity and aesthete beauty. The block exhaustively caters to the need of the first year student’s classes at theory & practical level. The block comprises of four lecture halls with the basic facilities. The tier system of the lecture hall, providing equal access and eye contact, makes the teaching and the learning process a delight. The block also consists of essential units of Basic Science namely- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English, along with the rooms for the faculty. It is supported with spacious and well equipped laboratories.

To build a strong foundation about the principles and phenomenon of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and the skills to hone communication at under graduate level to the Engineering, students by using experimental and theoretical tools.
