Light Agent for Windows can protect virtual machines within the infrastructure where the following virtualization solutions are used:
- Citrix XenDesktop 7.9, Citrix XenDesktop 7.11, or Citrix XenDesktop 7.12
- Citrix Provisioning Services 7.9, Citrix Provisioning Services 7.11., or Citrix Provisioning Services 7.12
- VMware Horizon View 7
If you are using the virtualization solutions listed above, you must configure the recommended exclusions on a golden image.
Before installing the Light Agent for Windows on a virtual machine managed by the Citrix XenServer hypervisor, you must install XenTools.
Before installing the Light Agent for Windows on a virtual machine managed by the VMware ESXi, you must install the VMware Tools package.
On a virtual machine managed by the Microsoft Windows Server (Hyper-V) hypervisor, you must install the Integration Services package.
To avoid delays in the installation of application on the Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2008 R2 operating systems, please make sure that the Windows operating system automatically updates the list of trusted and untrusted (revoked) certificates of software vendors over the Internet via Windows Update. For systems that do not have access to Windows Update, or for systems on which automatic update of lists of trusted and untrusted certificates is disabled, manually make sure that these lists are up-to-date based on Microsoft recommendations:
