How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because When I was 17 yrs old I worked alongside a plumber on a volunteer project. He offered me a job. I loved plumbing right away. Went to trade school to become an apprentice, then journeyman and became a Registered Master Plumber in Allegheny County. I started my own plumbing business in 1995. .

We started in this industry in 1976.

I was fortunate that mine was not a critical problem. Even so, he scheduled us the next business day and did the work quickly and efficiently. He spent enough time with me on the phone scheduling the appointment that he was able to come with the non-standard items he needed to complete the work. That saved time and frustration. I would definitely call on him again.

Tim did a great job of determining why water was coming into my basement and fixing the problem at a reasonable cost. I will use Alliance for all my future plumbing needs.

Project: Install, Repair or Replace Plumbing or Fixtures
Returned call after request very quickly. Showed up when promised. Work was completed in a timely manner. Made every effort to protect property and cleaned up as well as can be expected. Offered suggestions to enhance the project without inflating the bill. Told Tim that I would have no problem recommending Alliance to others.

Tim repaired our plumbing at our home, only to find out later in the day, we had a water leak at our office. Tim responded immediately and was there to help. Almost impossible to find this kind of service these days. Thx again Tim!

TIm was very quick on the response time and arranged to come out and look at my project in a very timely manner. He took his time and was thorough, gave me an analysis of what he thought the issues were and a step by step plan of what he intended to do. Also gave me a couple of things to check before we proceeded which would cost me nothing. Will definitely hire.

They missed a scheduled appointment but promptly rescheduled and arrived exactly on time. The work turned out to be more difficult than anticipated. They didn't ask but I volunteered to pay more than the estimate. I will use them again and recommend them to others.

After trying to get 4 different plumbing companies to return calls or provide an estimate, I called on Alliance. Tim (owner) was very quick to return my call, provide an estimate and schedule the work. He followed up twice to confirm and showed up on time as scheduled. Tim and his associate (Brian) worked very cleanly and professionally. The work was done perfectly and the overall experience was great. The pricing was extremely fair too. I will be referring Alliance to everyone I know that needs a great plumber at a great price.

Well Tim from Alliance plumbing was very good at getting ahold of me, he called quite a bit till i answered and he did work well with my schedule. However! His work was not very professional. I have a maintenance background and simply did not have the time to do this project at my house. I asked him to replace my two drain pipes that were cast iron with pvc and move one of my toilets back about 8". Yes he did do this, and there are currently no leaks. But he didn't replace the WHOLE pipe, he put the fitting at eye level and left the rest of it the old pipe for both drains. The toilet he moved back, now will not fill up after being flushed. The two areas that he was working in (freshly painted a week before) are now stained from whatever he did and he didn't care to tell me about it before he "ran"out of my house. He left his old dirty, moldy drop cloth (wasn't even big enough to cover my whole carpet so I provided my own) in my dining room and when I told him about it he said he didn't need it back. One of the pipes he replaced was above my ceiling, now the pipe is ran below my ceiling and is directly in front of my window. I am not happy with him or his company and will never refer him to anyone.
