Comment: I have 4 jacks throughout the house. There is one jack comming in through the wall into bedroom 1. I was relocating the phone from bedroom 1 and the phone stopped working. I tried plugging the phone in all of the other jacks and it did not work. They were working before the relocation. I believe that there may be something wrong with the wiring of Bedroom 1 and it has affected all of the other jacks. I have a combination modem for my small home network that gets its signal from a cat 5 in another part of the wall. This is working fine. The lights on the combination Modem however shows a green light on the telephone indicater and green light on all of the other indicators. The Lan indicator is flashing yellow which has nothing to do with the telephone ( tip and ring ) Dialtone. Internet is working fine. Can you give me an idea of what might be wrong?
