Project: New Windows
I hired Titan to replace the windows on the front of my home. I had previously received 2 other estimates. While Titan was not the lowest estimate, I don't mind paying more for quality work and not having to worry about problems down the line. I met with Carlos C on 5/21/2017. They completed the work yesterday, and I figured it's only right for me to write a review about my experience for others who might be in the position I was in. Carlos told me the installation would be 3-4 weeks from the time of signing the contract, and the company followed through. The windows look great, and the installers were on time, skilled, and left no trace of debris. Titan's warranty on their work and windows gives me the peace of mind for any future issues that may come up. Overall, I am extremely impressed with the professionalism, quality of work, and communication I've received from Titan. I highly recommend them for anyone considering window replacement. Excellent work, did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. Very happy with Simonton windows and gave me a military discount. Would recommend to others.

I am ONLY providing feedback because I selected Titan through HomeAdvisor, which shows Titan a one of its highest rated contractors. My next action is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I met with Titan on more than one occasion to formalize a plan to replace all windows in my home. Once we agreed on a price and timeline, I entered into a contract with Titan and wrote a check for 10% down payment (05/08/17). Within days after the contract and down pmt, a 2nd Titan employee came to my home to verify measurements and inform me that [because of the selected color], it would take 3-4 weeks for the windows to arrive for installation (as opposed to the 2-3 weeks written in the contract). Contingent on the interest rate, I entertained using Titan's affiliate for financing. If the interest rate was unsatisfactory, my financial institutions were prepared to expedite financing. I awaited a response…and awaited a response. The salesman finally returned my calls (ready to move forward with work but still working on getting financial company to lower rates). I reminded him that I was perfectly able to secure my own financing; I simply wanted to move forward with the job. That communication was followed by the 3-4 weeks of silence, during which I presumed Titan was awaiting the window order. 3-4 weeks lapsed with no Titan contact to schedule a date to begin installation. Finally, I received a text from the salesman indicating a need to meet to discuss my project. Ominous. This warranted a phone call, one that was not returned of course. I subsequently called the company’s direct number to get a response. The company had the salesman call me instantly. The salesman intimated a family emergency and lamented the company’s failure to send an alternate in his place, but scheduled a meet at my home on 05/26/17 to “discuss a few things” about my project. He never showed for the meeting. Another call to the company…salesman’s family emergency continued, company’s failure to send an alternate continued, but [the salesman] would be at my home for the next meeting. Salesman arrived at my home on 06/01/17 [with the “boss” on the phone] to inform me that the company could not fulfil the job at the negotiated price and would like to renegotiate. Note: he opened his folder with paperwork, including the receipt showing that they cashed my down payment. Because a contract is a contract, I opted for a refund of my down payment. The boss then informed me that it would take 3-days and they would mail my refund. I requested my refund in-person and they said they would deliver the check to me on 06/05/17. So many things are wrong with this company, the least of which is unethical business practices. 1) Why sign a contract for work at a price outside of company capabilities? 2) If a mistake was made by the salesman, why not immediately refund the down payment [as opposed to dragging out the ordeal over the course of a month]? 3) Why cash the down payment if there was never an intention to order materials? So many things wrong. Customers seeking home improvement work, please do not use this contractor. Save yourself from the headache. HomeAdvisor, please stop recommending Titan as the highest rated contractor. I have found them to be the antithesis of characteristics deserving high ratings: THEY ARE NOT TIMELY, THEY ARE NOT GOOD, AND THEY CERTAINLY ARE NOT HONEST.

The chocolate color windows are custom order, so of course they will take longer to manufacture. Upon discovering the price difference with the windows you wanted, we immediately tried to meet with you to discuss this. There was indeed a period that went by without communication, this is because you were out of town. Your representative has a family member with a serious illness, and while we regret any inconvenience caused to you, no one can anticipate these kind of things. As a family owned business, our representatives and their families well-being are of the utmost importance, and I'm sure you understand that, (consumer name withheld per their request)Your down payment was deposited because we had every intention of ordering the windows to complete the contract. The down payment has been returned, and we wish you good luck with your window project.

Update: they finally came out and fixed all of the above however I had to make too many follow up calls and keep escalating up before I got the job finished

Project: New Windows
We hired Titan Remodeling to replace the windows in our home in April. Rudy was the representative who came out to our home. We told the folks over the phone that we don't respond to high pressure sales tactics, and Rudy was very polite and not pushy. He measured the windows and gave us a fair price for replacing them. We had the windows installed in a little under 2 weeks from the time of ordering them. The installation crew are skilled professionals. They took the time to walk with us around the home to each window so we could inspect them, and shown how to open them from the top. The owner of the company, Mr. Leake, called to make sure we were happy with the process and our purchase, and we certainly are!

I had 20+ windows replaced that have a "life time warranty". Jeffery, who was the lead for the window installation was excellent and professional, and I am happy with the final product. However, the poor rating is because I cannot get the warranty information from Titan. I have made numerous requests for the information but without results. So if you use them, don't pay the final payment until you receive all promised warranties.
