Rob's bid was lower than all the other contractors I contacted, and I really got my money's worth out of him. He mostly did all the work himself, which was nice not having an army of strangers inside your house. He only pulled in a friend to help hanging drywall. The downside of Rob doing all the work himself was that it took twice as long as his estimate. He went above and beyond by enclosing some exposed pipes in the room behind drywall (after asking me first), because he thought it would look better, and didn't charge extra even though it added to his schedule. While the project took several weeks to complete, once we realized Rob was doing all the work, we felt comfortable leaving him alone in the house all day while we went to work. He often worked 12 hour days and was very good about communicating where he was in the process. If you are looking for someone to do solid work at a reasonable price, and you aren't on a tight timeline, Rob is a great choice!

Comment: We have badly built roof and it's edges extend out too far, meaning when it's heavy rain the water flows right over the top of the rain gutters. We've been told by the gutter repair that we used that we'd need to hire someone to cut the whole edge of the roof back a bit so it doesn't flow over those gutters. Some of the gutters themselves were poorly installed and need repair/replacement. In addition to this, the water flow has damaged trim wood on the side of the house and several parts of our deck outside. So we want to replace the damaged wood on the side of the house and deck as well. Also there are at least 3 places on the roof that have leaked and probably need some work.
