Comment: This is a small project - Two narrow strips of drywall on either side of the shower door are starting to get rusty and the caulk has come apart at the seams. I replaced the base of one of those strips with drywall putty. I think the drywall may need replacing, especially on the right strip where I replaced some of it with putty. I believe there is a steel frame behind the drywall that probably is prone to rusting. Not sure if the wood has rotted. We will be replacing the shower door (someone else is doing that) but need that fixed before we can proceed.
