Comment: Our home is a 90 year old plaster over brick tudor style with a thick well maintained slate roof with several peaks and ridges. The flat areas were replaced with copper sheeting about 25 years ago. Until about 7 years ago we had maintenance done about every 2-3 years to replace missing shingles, caulk as needed etc. the last good maintenance was about 7 years ago. We have a few places where there is wetness on a wall or ceiling and 1 place with a drip that will amount to a cup or so of water in a pan after a few days of heavy rain. that appears to be coming from a ridge that looks like it needs calkling but I wonder if a synthetic ridge cap would be better - that ridge is about 15 feet long. The worst place for dampess on a wall that seems to radiate to a small ceiling area is the portion of a plaster wall that covers the main chimney. The chimeny exits the roof over that place. It appears that the flashing needs repair or calking. On that part of the chimney, some of the stucco plas
