I originally looked into expanding my master bedroom when Sagi came by to look at my property. He was very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable and was able to prioritize my projects in terms of what needed to be done first. The work is still ongoing and so far it has been a very good experience. I am very satisfied with my bathroom remodel and now have high expectations for the master bedroom expansion. Sagi and Israel continue to keep me informed with every step and progress of the project. I will be updating this review after the project is complete. I only expect outstanding results and highly recommend them for any home renovations.

The process of finding a company to do your remodel is much like picking a surgeon. You may have no clue how its done or maybe you did some research and have an idea but certainly not the ability or skills to do it yourself. You must find someone to do it and then live with the results. At the start of my first web search I asked myself “How do I pick a company I trust?” Honestly, with so much out there, I feel like I got lucky and found the needle in the haystack. I can say with much relief that Stel Builders reshaped our home into one we are very happy to live with. Stel Builders is a team that cared about our family and at every turn wanted us to be happy with the results. Seth, the architect and owner, listened to the problems and needs we had to overcome then designed a plan for our home and patiently explained it to us. We were included in the design process and felt we had some control over the outcome. Brian, the senior project manager, made sure it all got done right. He let us know what was happening every week so we could manage our lives around it. When things happened that you can’t plan for like rain in San Diego during the framing of our addition, Brian was there for us. Every tradesman that came to our house was hardworking and knowledgeable. When all was done and we shook hands I was only sad about missing them. My husband, of course, was not that sappy. He was very happy to have a quite house, well, as quite as it can be with 3 girls.

Comment: The long axis of the house is north to south. The east side contains the master bedroom, the living room/dining room, and the kitchen. The east side looks out over a canyon which is a nature preserve. I wish to add an 8-10 foot wide sun room along the east wall. This addition could expand the master bedroom which is 10-13 (east/west) and enable moving the wall between the MBR and the living room/dining room farther south to expand the MBR in that dimension also. The east wall in the living room has a fireplace which I wish removed. I believe that the wall between the MBR and the living room may not be load-bearing, but I'm not certain.
