Comment: Hello, We have a manufactured home that we are selling and need to fix the following issue from the structural engineer in order to meet HUD guidelines: "Each transverse beam has a mid span support, consisting of a schedule 40 adjustable steel column bearing on a concrete pier, but the bases of the adjustable steel columns are not bolted to the concrete piers. which is a deficiency with respect to the HUD Handbook requirements for anchoring the home to the foundation. The bases of the adjustable steel columns should be attached to the concrete piers. With two 1/2 concrete anchors with 3 embedment. The rust at the bottom of the columns should be wire brushed and painted with a rust inhibiting paint." We need a contractor to anchor these, brush the rust and paint with rust inhibiting paint.
