Nancy discovered how daunting and costly home projects could be when she got married and bought a new home. After several months of renovations, her key takeaway was that 'who you hired' was the single biggest factor in a great outcome. At the time, there was only word-of-mouth. She founded HomeStars in 2006 to aggregate real reviews - the first site in Canada to create a community of homeowners who could help each other hire right. Prior to launching HomeStars, Nancy spent 13 years marketing world-class brands in Europe and North America, first with P&G, and then Kraft Foods. She enjoys playing tennis, mentoring young people, and spending time with her two boys at various hockey rinks.
Andrew is Founder and President of Toronto-based Page Zero Media, a full service digital marketing agency, author of Winning Results with Google AdWords (McGraw-Hill, 2009), and a regular columnist for ClickZ. Andrew Goodman joined HomeStars in 2007, lending search and marketing expertise, and has remained an active Director.
Wendy is the Principal of MaestroLaw, advising entrepreneurs and mid-market companies in M&A and financing transactions, contractual negotiations, shareholder relationships and governance issues. She became Director at HomeStars in 2010 and is a director of several corporations.
Chandran has been with Fairfax Financial Holdings since 1994, providing investment management to the insurance subsidiaries of the company and managing investments in Asia. Chandran holds several board directorships within the insurance industry as well as ZoomerMedia on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Peg is a seasoned C-level executive with over 20 years of retail and e-commerce experience, most notably with The Home Depot and Canadian Tire. Active in the community, Peg served as Board Chair of the Canadian Marketing Association and is involved with several not-for-profit organizations.
Jonathan spent 6 years at Procter & Gamble running their digital marketing group before starting his own consultancy, Strategy Cube, in 2007. He spends most of his time helping senior management in SMB’s develop and execute winning digital marketing strategies through great content marketing.
Carrie is a seasoned marketing and product management executive, with her early years spent at Microsoft in Redmond WA helping build and launch such classics as Encarta Encyclopedia, Microsoft Money, and MSN services for mobile. She’s held senior positions Rogers and several technology growth companies, and is currently VP Marketing at the financial start-up Quandl
